Governance & Compliance

Operation Bangladesh initiative by Shaker Global Poverty Reduction, founded by Morad Shaker, driving humanitarian impact worldwide in Governance & Compliance.
Operation Bangladesh operates on the principle that humanitarian support must be governed with the same seriousness and discipline expected at the national level. Our governance and compliance framework exists to ensure that all activities are lawful, ethical, transparent, and aligned with international standards, while fully respecting national sovereignty.
This framework is not symbolic. It is structural.
Governance Structure
Operation Bangladesh is guided by a clear governance structure designed to separate leadership vision from operational execution.
- Defined leadership and decision-making roles
- Clear internal controls over financial and program activities
- Separation of authority to prevent misuse of power or resources
- Oversight mechanisms to ensure accountability
No individual holds unchecked control over funds, beneficiaries, or operations.
Compliance Philosophy
Operation Bangladesh does not operate as a financial institution, but it applies appropriate financial discipline consistent with cross-border humanitarian operations.
Our compliance philosophy is risk-based, proportional, and preventive.
We maintain internal standards to ensure:
- funds are used strictly for program purposes
- operations are protected from misuse or diversion
- partners and intermediaries are assessed responsibly
- activities remain compliant with applicable national laws
Anti-Money Laundering & Counter-Terrorism Safeguards
Operation Bangladesh maintains a zero-tolerance position toward money laundering, terrorist financing, or illicit financial activity.
Safeguards include:
- risk-based screening of partners and channels
- prohibition of anonymous or untraceable funding
- internal monitoring of fund flow consistency
- immediate escalation of irregularities
These measures protect both the organization and the countries we operate in.
Anti-Corruption & Ethical Conduct
Operation Bangladesh prohibits all forms of corruption, bribery, facilitation payments, and improper influence.
This applies to:
- staff
- representatives
- partners
- intermediaries
Any attempt to misuse the organization for personal, political, or financial gain is grounds for immediate action.
Integrity is not optional. It is foundational.
Transparency & Accountability
Operation Bangladesh commits to responsible transparency without compromising privacy or security.
- Funds are tracked internally against approved program objectives
- Financial and operational records are maintained with audit readiness
- Leadership remains accountable for ethical and lawful conduct
Transparency exists to build trust, not publicity.
Respect for National Law and Sovereignty
Operation Bangladesh operates with full respect for national legal frameworks and public authority.
- No political involvement
- No interference in domestic governance
- No substitution of state institutions
- Cooperation, not competition, with public systems
Our role is supportive, not directive.
Commitment
Governance and compliance are not external requirements imposed on Operation Bangladesh. They are internal standards we have chosen to uphold.
This framework ensures that Operation Bangladesh remains:
- trustworthy to governments
- safe for beneficiaries
- credible to international partners
- resilient over the long term
“Operation Bangladesh is the vision of one man—born from a belief that serving humanity, without borders, is the highest form of service to God.”
